    TRAINING

    Tofo Scuba offers PADI courses from pre-entry level up to instructor. We also offer PADI and IANTD nitrox courses and dives.

    All our confined water training is conducted in our onsite training pool, which better prepares you for your open water training.

    Our groups are kept small to ensure individual attention and safety are kept to the highest of standards.

    Discover Scuba Diving:
    1 day course made up of a pool session and a shallow dive.

    PADI Scuba Diver:
    Minimum 2 days. 3 theory session, 3 pool sessions, 2 sea dives to a maximum depth of 12m. Upon completion a certification card will be received.

    PADI Open water:
    Minimum 4 days, 5 theory sessions, 5 pool sessions, 4 sea dives. Certification card is received upon completion allowed to dive to a maximum depth of 18m.

    PADI advanced open water:
    Minimum 3 days, made up of 5 adventure dives. The 2 core dives are .deep. and .Navigation.. The remaining 3 dives are your choice, we recommend one of the following: Drift, Peak performance buoyancy, Fish identification, Multilevel and computer, underwater Naturalist, Boat dive and search and recovery.

    Emergency First responder:
    This is a one day course that consists of a small portion of theory and practical skills and acting out scenarios to learn life saving skills.

    PADI Rescue Diver:
    Minimum 4 days, 5 theory sessions, Pool sessions, 2 Sea dives. This course is considered as one of the best PADI diving courses as it teaches you have to respond to diver problems and help/save people in need, It also makes you a much better diver!  Certification card is received upon completion

    PADI Dive Master:
    Minimum 1-3 months, This course consists of a large portion of theory where you will gain a great deal of knowledge on dive theory, environment, supervising of students, physics and physiology. You will also need to do pool sessions where you will learn the necessary skills to assist the Instructor while teaching students. The number of dives that you will do with this course is unlimited but is usually between 60-150.

    PADI Instructor:
    Minimum 12-18 days, The IDC (Instructor Development Course) is run once a year here at Tofo Scuba (dependant on applicant numbers). Also se IDC 13.
