Spectacular sightings at Tofo this Month |
The diving has been unusually spectacular with unbelievable and unheard of sightings in Tofo this month. A 7 metre sailfish on the safety stop at Giants Castle which hung around for 5 or 6 minutes, A hammerhead shark on one of our new dive sites, Tabletop, A plankton bloom in Tofinho, with around 10 whalesharks and 6 manta rays feeding on the surface, and Our ocean safari yesterday encountered and snorkelled with no less than 15 individual whalesharks, and managed a rare sighting of a hammerhead shark on the surface. Other awesome sights worth a mention are leopard sharks on office, white tip reef sharks on amazon, bowmouth guitarsharks on manta reef, and a school of around 40 devil rays on a safety stop at Hogwarts.

We had another very successful instructor development course in August, fortunately we got our new IDC centre ready just in the nick of time, and the weather was far better than last year?s IDC. A big congratulations to all the candidates, or should we say, brand new PADI professionals! Thank you as always to Colleen Bernard, the course director, who as always cared for and encouraged the candidates, serious, smiling and patient to the end.
